Lavalier Mic Paintout in Resolve Fusion

About

In this Fusion tutorial , we are going to work on removing a lavalier microphone that wasn’t tucked out of sight while shooting, so we will go in and paint it out as if it was never there.

We will start by tracking with Fusion’s Surface tracker to stabilize the microphone and then use the paint node to manually clone it out using surrounding reference pixels. Next we will un-stabilize our paintout work to re apply it back onto the original plate. We also go over how to use Photoshop’s Gen Fill feature to provide a better paintout option than our manual clone brush.
